Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Viajero (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Viajero (16 in the EU/EEA). By using the Service, you represent that you meet this minimum age requirement.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your profile.
  • One account per person. Automated account creation is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Post content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal use.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create (recommendations, comments, ratings). By posting content, you grant Viajero a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute your content within the Service. You can delete your account and personal data at any time. Recommendations you've shared will be anonymized but remain visible.

6. Third-Party Content

Place information, photos, and maps are provided by third-party services (Google Places, Mapbox). We do not control or guarantee the accuracy of this content. Third-party content is subject to its respective provider's terms.

7. Availability

We strive to keep Viajero available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates.

8. Limitation of Liability

Viajero is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Account Termination

You can delete your account from Account & Data in your profile menu. A 14-day recovery window applies before data is permanently removed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
